Where Family Tradition Meets Fine Jewelry

Meet Hadley Perry Pacheco, the SouthPark small business owner bringing a new era of elegance to Perry’s Diamonds & Estate Jewelry.

You might not expect Hadley Perry Pacheco, owner of SouthPark’s Perry’s Diamonds & Estate Jewelry, to have the career background she does.

Feeling slightly unfulfilled working as an attorney, Hadley started discussing new career paths with her dad and eventually agreed to come on board at the business she now owns.

When you first walk into Perry’s, you’re entering so much more than a store—you’re stepping into a family legacy.

Hadley’s father, Ernie Perry, was born to operate his own store. With a strong eye for detail and an ambitious nature, he started out managing The Jewel Box in SouthPark Mall. Here, he met his future wife, Priscilla, after helping her repair a damaged trunk piece. Before long, Ernie convinced Priscilla to quit her job so they could start their own store.

Hadley says this husband-and-wife business started as a buying operation to sell pieces to a refinery. Her parents worked with a local women’s group expecting to find damaged or incomplete pieces. In reality, these women had collections of stunning, like-new antique pieces. Pleasantly surprised by the amount of gorgeous, well-cared-for vintage jewelry already in existence, Perry spoke with his colleagues and determined the craftsmanship of these items was too good to sell to the refinery. It was then that he decided to embark on a new journey buying and selling on his own.

The Perrys opened a small retail shop off Independence before eventually making the wise move to SouthPark. After thriving for decades in the SouthPark Mall, the Perrys decided to relocate to another SouthPark spot where they could have more space and flexibility on Carnegie Blvd.

In the process of building out the new location and seeing his daughter wanting more from her career, Ernie convinced his daughter to try her hand at the family business. Hadley notes he encouraged her to give it a year—promising if she didn’t like it, she could move on.

A few years later, Hadley was still working the family business and taking on a bigger role as COO before finally becoming President and CEO. Together with her team, Hadley rebranded the store to its current name and stepped into the ownership role so her parents could enjoy retirement. Although Ernie passed away in 2023, his leadership, generosity and legacy undoubtedly live on through Hadley.

Emphasizing just how much of a family business her store truly is, Hadley notes nearly every family member has played a part in shaping it, including her sister, grandparents and now, her husband.

So next time you’re seeking a custom piece for that special someone or just treating yourself, swing by Perry’s. Whether you’re shopping for engagement rings, an anniversary pendant or unique estate pieces, Perry’s Diamonds & Estate Jewelry truly has something for everyone and any occasion.
