Promoting Planned Events
Submit an event
Event planners are encouraged to submit events to our daily events calendar. Note that we will only consider events happening within the SouthPark Municipal Services District.
Events submitted to the events calendar will also receive consideration for inclusion in our monthly newsletter, social media promotions, and in neighborhood guides.
Help spread the word about SouthPark community events
SouthPark is home to a variety of major events, and SouthPark Community Partners (SCP) hosts SouthPark After 5 and the Holiday Hop. Share these community events with your friends, coworkers, and customers using our event toolkits, which include social media graphics, digital and print flyers, and more. Email Maddie at maddie@southparkclt.org for access to event toolkits!
Hosting an Event
SouthPark Community Partners encourages organizations and businesses to work together to host events in the district. Below are some examples of ways that you can plan and host successful, in-demand events in SouthPark:
- Surprise and delight - Property managers and business owners can "surprise and delight" customers with pop-up style programming, such as live music, retail and food vendors, face painting and caricatures, and more. Contact us for ideas and vendor recommendations.
- Connect with SPAN - SouthPark Association of Neighborhoods has been serving the 40+ neighborhoods that surround the SouthPark Municipal Services District for decades. Work with this group to host events or extend an invite to your events for true community collaboration.
- Hosting a Loop partner event- The SouthPark Loop is a 3 mile urban trail that connects and creates great places in SouthPark. Because it's intended to be a community activity center, SCP encourages businesses and organizations to host events on the Loop. SCP can provide assistance for these partner events. See how below.
How SouthPark Community Partners Can Supports Events
SCP is an independent nonprofit organization whose mission is to lead SouthPark's advancement by driving economic vitality, creating memorable experiences, and ensuring an extraordinary quality of life.
In addition to the considerations included in submission to the daily events calendar, SCP may be able to assist with the planning and production for events that further our mission. Partnership consideration will occur on a case-by-case basis, and assistance may include:
- On-site event materials such as tents, tables, and lawn games
- Print and digital marketing collateral
- Inclusion in paid marketing strategies
- Introduction to vendors and SouthPark businesses
