Drawing Lightly: Watercolor in a Sketchbook

Dates and Times

Location

This program series, offered by artist Marco Franco, is a relaxed and creative introduction to simple drawing and watercolor using a sketchbook. It is designed for people who want to enjoy drawing and painting without pressure, rules, or expectations of realism.  Participants will work in a sketchbook style, using basic shapes, playful lines, and light watercolor washes to explore ideas, objects, and themes in an easy and enjoyable way.

  • No previous drawing or watercolor experience is needed. Beginners are welcome.
  • Each session in this series is stand-alone (not progressive). Participants can register for one or multiple sessions.
  • Registration for each session will open on the Monday before at 9 am.
  • Most materials are provided by the library, but we encourage you to bring your own watercolors if you have them.
  • Participants are asked to purchase their own sketchbook.
