During this fly fishing summer camp, students will learn the basics of the sport of fly fishing. Topics such as the influences of water movements and entomology will be covered, along with explanations of equipment and knots that are used in the sport. The habitat and behaviors of different species of fish, resource conservation, the delivery of a fly, and proper catch and release techniques will be taught in this week-long, comprehensive course. The ultimate goal is to introduce the proper foundation of the sport of fly fishing that students can enjoy for a lifetime.
Conventional Fishing will also be covered.
This camp is being done in partnership with Charlotte Country Day School & their Weddington Farm. You DO NOT have to be a student of CCDS to participate.
