Children in K-5th grade are invited to drop in to the library anytime on Mondays from 5-7 p.m. for Homework Help! Trained Homework Help volunteers provide a welcoming and supportive environment where young learners can:
- Get help completing assignments
- Practice important foundational math and reading skills (such as math facts or reading)
- Explore and get connected to important Library resources, including Tutor.com, a free professional tutoring service that provides 15 free tutoring sessions in any subject each week with a Library card or ONE Access account
Whether your child needs a little extra support, or a focused one-on-one support session, Homework Help is a great way to build confidence and stay on track. Let us partner with you in your child’s learning journey! Note: While our homework help program is intended for student support, it is not a tutoring service. Volunteers provide help and guidance to the best of their ability, but are not certified teachers. Volunteers do not complete assignments for students. Students are called to work 1 on 1 with a trained volunteer for a 20 minute block after completing a short intake form to share your learning support needs.
SouthPark Library provides this program on Mondays from 5 to 7 p.m., however all Library branches offer Homework Help too! Visit the Homework Help website for additional hours of service.
