Thursdays in SouthPark just got better.
Free live music, food trucks and drinks, and hands-on art experiences are coming to Symphony Park six times this fall at SouthPark After 5, a weekly free entertainment and happy hour series happening every Thursday from September 4-October 9, 2025.
Here's the Scoop:
- SouthPark After 5 is happening every Thursday from September 4-October 9, 2025.
- The event is located at Symphony Park at 4400 Sharon Rd., on the corner of Barclay Downs Drive and Carnegie Boulevard, adjacent to the Dick's Sporting Goods at SouthPark Mall.
- Expect a different musical performance and interactive activity each week.
- Opening act from 5-6:30pm, main act from 7-9pm.
- The event is free to attend and family and dog friendly. Dogs must be leashed and friendly.
- Come prepared with your favorite picnic blanket or chairs to sit in the lawn.
- There are paved pathways throughout the park for wheelchairs, strollers, and other mobility devices.
Outside beverages and coolers are not permitted, per ABC law. Outside food is permitted.

September 11: Landslide Tribute to Fleetwood Mac | Books on the House free mobile library
September 18: Coconut Groove Band | Books on the House free mobile library | Performance from North Carolina Brazilian Arts Project as part of Charlotte International Arts Festival
September 25: Bourbon Sons | Free sunflowers for the first 500 attendees
October 2: Y2K Kids | Books on the House free mobile library
October 9: Petty Rewind | Free pumpkin patch

Outside beverages and coolers will not be permitted. Outside food will be permitted.
Food Truck Lineup: Find 5 rotating food trucks every week at SouthPark After 5.
Pack a Picnic or Grab TakeoutPicnic in the park with food from home, or from one of SouthPark's 100+ eateries.
Getting to SouthPark After 5:
Free Rides in SouthParkWhat's better than finding the perfect spot? Not needing one. Catch a ride on the SouthPark Skipper, a point to point ride service offering free rides within the SouthPark neighborhood every day from 8am-9pm. Accessibility accommodations are available.
ParkingLimited free parking, including handicap spots, are available in the lot adjacent to Symphony Park. Consider parking in another location around SouthPark and catching a free ride on the SouthPark Skipper to avoid the busy lot, and to get picked up and dropped off at the event entrance.
