Watercolor Wednesdays: The Art of Journaling with Michael Haun

Dates and Times

Location

Join us for a special two-part watercolor experience with artist Michael Haun, designed to introduce and deepen your practice of watercolor journaling. This series goes beyond painting. It’s about capturing moments, telling stories, and learning to see the world with greater intention.

In the first class, Michael will guide you through the foundations of watercolor journaling, covering tools, composition, scaling your work, sketching, and working with pens and paints. You’ll also explore the heart behind the practice: storytelling. While photos capture a moment, journaling invites you to slow down and fully experience it, helping you notice the light, weather, people, conversations, and feeling of a place in a whole new way. Students will leave with a deeper understanding of the process and simple homework to begin practicing their new skills.

The second class focuses on bringing it all together by refining your storytelling, strengthening compositions, and developing your own personal journaling style.

Each participant will receive a thoughtfully curated watercolor journaling kit during the first class, plus access to an optional Office Hours Session (date announced during class) for continued guidance, questions, and one-on-one feedback with Michael.
