Free Rides in SouthPark
Catch a ride on the SouthPark Skipper, a point to point ride service offering free rides within the SouthPark neighborhood every day from 9am-9pm.
About the SouthPark Skipper:
- Service launches on November 15.
- Operates daily from 9am-9pm.
- Free to ride.
- This point to point service will take you anywhere within the SouthPark district (see map below).
- Accessibility accommodations are available.
- Riders 12 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
- Drivers are compensated courtesy of SouthPark Community Partners. Gratuity for exceptional service is appreciated, but not required.
How to ride:
1. Download the Ride Freebee app
Select "SouthPark, Charlotte" in the app, or call 855-918-3733 to request a ride and accessibility accommodations.
2. Select your pick up and drop off location
The Skipper can pick up and drop off anywhere within the SouthPark district, daily from 9am-9pm.
3. Ride for free
Get dropped off at your desired location, free of charge.
What, why, and how:
- All electric vehicle fleet.
- Makes it easier for residents, workers, and visitors to move around.
- Part of a one-year pilot program, funded by SouthPark Community Partners and operated by Freebee.
- Drivers are background checked and trained to provide a safe, ambassador-like service.
