The Neighborhood Comes Alive at SouthPark After Five
Thursdays in SouthPark just got better.
Free live music, food trucks and drinks, and hands-on art experiences are coming to Symphony Park six times this Spring.
Here's the Scoop:
- SouthPark After Five is happening from 5-9pm every Thursday, April 20-June 1.
- The event is located at Symphony Park, at 4400 Sharon Rd., on the corner of Barclay Downs Drive and Carnegie Boulevard, adjacent to SouthPark Mall.
- The event is free to attend and family and dog friendly.
- Expect a rotating list of local food trucks or discover one of the 100+ dining options in the neighborhood.
- Come prepared with your favorite picnic blanket or chairs to set up in the park.
*No outside drink or coolers will be permitted*

April 20
- 20 Ride Zach Brown Tribute Band
- Watch as four local artists create masterpieces in a live spray paint battle
April 27 (POSTPONED UNTIL JUNE 1 DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER)
May 4
- Free music & games from 5-6pm, Wells Fargo Championship Tee-Off Party with Yacht Rock Revue from 6-10pm (ticketed concert)
- Join local artists as they create one of a kind caricatures of you or your furry friends.
No chairs or blankets allowed at the Yacht Rock Revue concert

- Sol Fusion Premier Variety Band
- Learn how to screen print your own tote bag with MacFly Fresh Printing Co.
May 18 (CANCELLED DUE TO THE FIVE-ALARM FIRE ON THE MORNING OF 5/18)
May 25
- On the Border Eagles Tribute
- Make a community art piece with Splatter CLT by throwing paint at a canvas. Step up, select a color you love, and make your mark. Plus, you'll be able to download a slo-mo video of you tossing your paint at this collective masterpiece.
- Honor the victims of the five-alarm fire in SouthPark and thank first responders from the Charlotte Fire Department, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, and MEDIC by leaving words of support on a "Thank You" banner, listening to remarks from community leaders, and participating in a moment of silence in honor of the victims.
June 1
- Landslide Tribute to Fleetwood Mac
- Make your own flower bouquet with Bentley's Buds Flower Truck, and work on a SouthPark themed coloring book from local artist Jamea Marlowe of The Broken Crayon.
