Seasonal Energy Workshops Series: Winter – Embracing Darkness

Date and Time

Location

Living in harmony with the earth’s seasons may seem unnecessary in modern times. Electricity allows daily activities to proceed without limitation during seasonal darkness. Air temperature at home and in the office is regulated to offer steady comfort regardless of outdoor conditions. Increasingly few of us grow our own food, distancing our connections with nature’s cycles – seed, sprout, flower, fruit, harvest and rest. Yet, our bodies, minds and spirits crave the full array of seasonal experiences. We yearn to experience both light and dark … warmth and coolness … outer focus and inward gaze. We need beginnings and endings, activity and rest. As we anticipate the awaited harvest for which we’ve labored diligently, it should be a season of jubilant celebration. Right? Well, yes … and also, no. Embracing Darkness – A Seasonal Energy Workshop In winter, we rest. We plan. We clear space. We wait. While resting and planning may feel welcome, waiting can be more difficult. Waiting carries its own energy—it asks us to pause, to soften, and to trust, even when our instinct is to keep moving and achieving. “Embracing Darkness” invites you to honor the stillness of winter and discover the wisdom in slowing down. Through seasonally inspired practices of mindful movement, meditation, breathwork, Yoga Nidra, and more, we’ll create space for renewal, balance, and alignment with the natural rhythms of life.
