We can’t ignore what’s happening in Western North Carolina, and neither should you. Here's what you can do in SouthPark to help those impacted by Hurricane Helene.
Donate Supplies
- Taylor Richards and Conger is hosting a supply and clothing drive through October 12.
- The Colony Apartments are accepting donations in their leasing office through October 11.
- Sloan is hosting a clothing drive, accepting all gently used clothing and shoes, through October 18.
- StudioFire is hosting a clothing drive through October 20. Receive a 15% discount on retail items with a donation.
- Fairview Plaza is hosting a supply drive within their building at 5950 Fairview Rd indefinitely.
- Satin Med Spa is accepting gently used clothing donations to fill their Hurricane Helene Relief Store. Impacted families can schedule appointments for a private shopping experience where they can chose up to 25 clothing items, in addition to complimentary drinks and snacks.
Donate Funds
- The Governor's Office is collecting donations through the North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund to help communities recover from the catastrophic damage, in partnership with United Way. Donate here.
- Noble Food & Pursuits, the restaurant group behind Rooster's and Copain, has partnered with World Central Kitchen to provide prepared meals to those in Western North Carolina. One meal can be provided for every $5 given. Donate here.
- StudioFire is offering donation based classes in October, proceeds will go directly to an Asheville yoga studio, Flow at Foundry, who suffered enormous losses in the storm. See the schedule here.
- Disco Honey is offering 30% anything in their store with proof of a donation to Western North Carolina relief efforts or with and in-store donation of supplies.
- Jesse Brown's Outdoors is donating 5% of all purchased trips to Western North Carolina relief efforts.
Support Businesses With Locations in Western North Carolina
- Summit Coffee Co. is a SouthPark staple, but their Asheville location was destroyed in flooding caused by Hurricane Helene. Support their business by shopping and sipping at Piedmont Town Center location.
Donate Blood
- The American Red Cross needs blood donations, as Hurricane Helene has caused the cancellation of 2,500 blood donations and created an urgent need for blood to support hospitals whose supply has been disrupted. Learn about upcoming blood donations.
