SouthPark Community Partners, an economic development nonprofit, seeks a Partnerships Director to support our mission-driven work to drive economic vitality, create memorable experiences, and ensure an extraordinary quality of life in the SouthPark area.
The Opportunity
We’re seeking a relationship-driven professional who is passionate about SouthPark and Charlotte, and excited to serve the community. Reporting to the President & CEO, this role will lead sponsorship development, strategic partnerships, and stakeholder outreach while collaborating closely with the SCP team, its Board of Directors, and community partners.
The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, organized, confident, and knowledgeable about Charlotte’s business landscape, with experience building and managing partnerships from cultivation through execution.

This is an in-office and in-district position with frequent in-person meetings, events, and stakeholder engagement across the SouthPark community.
What You'll Do
- Full Lifecycle Sales & Account Management
- Identify, cultivate, and manage sponsorship and partnership opportunities
- Develop sponsorship packages and partnership proposals
- Maintain ongoing relationships with corporate sponsors and community partners
- Execute partnerships in collaboration with full SCP team
- Track and report on sponsorship deliverables, ensuring partner satisfaction
- Partnership-Based Stakeholder Programming Lead
- Act as main point of contact for partners and sponsors for collaborative stakeholder initiatives
- Communicate and set expectations with external partners regarding deliverables and results
- Collaborate internally to execute and promote programs
- Stakeholder Outreach & Engagement
- Conduct targeted outreach to businesses, property owners, and community stakeholders to support broader SCP initiatives
- Build and maintain strong relationships across Charlotte’s business ecosystem
- Represent SCP at meetings, networking events, and community functions
- Data & Account Management
- Maintain accurate partnership, sponsor, and stakeholder records
- Manage CRM and reporting processes related to partnerships and outreach
What You'll Bring
- 2–5 years of professional experience in:
- Sales and/or partnerships
- Business development
- Account management
- A bias toward action with high expectations for superior results
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and independent project manager able to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive, results-driven mindset with strong research, outreach, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with CRM systems, Google Workspace, data management, and reporting
- Passion for community building and serving as a public-facing representative of SCP
- Familiarity with Charlotte’s business and community landscape strongly preferred
- Regular on-site presence in the office and throughout the SouthPark district
Compensation & Benefits
SouthPark Community Partners offers a competitive salary and benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a company-sponsored retirement program; generous paid time off; and regular professional development opportunities.
For the experience requested in this job description, the anticipated total compensation range is $70,000-$95,000, inclusive of performance-based bonuses.
